Heart Health Check
A heart health check can help you understand your risk of a heart attack or a stroke and provide personalised guidance and information based on your individual health profile.
What Is a Heart Health Check?

A heart health check, also known as a cardiovascular risk assessment, is a structured consultation that helps you understand your personal risk of developing heart disease.
The assessment considers factors such as:
-
Age, gender, and family history
-
Blood pressure and cholesterol levels
-
Lifestyle factors, including diet, physical activity, and smoking
-
Existing medical conditions, such as diabetes
The purpose of this consultation is informational and preventative. By estimating your cardiovascular risk, it can guide discussions about lifestyle choices and other strategies to help reduce your future risk of heart disease.

What the Consultation Involves

The Heart Check begins with an initial consultation with Dr Sadiq, during which a detailed medical history of cardiovascular risk factors is taken, blood pressure and BMI are measured, and pathology tests are arranged. This is followed by a longer appointment with a nurse and doctor to review your results, estimate your overall cardiovascular risk, and discuss appropriate management options and lifestyle measures. You will be provided with general information and guidance tailored to your individual circumstances, and options for follow-up or ongoing monitoring may be discussed where appropriate.

Please note: This consultation provides general information and guidance only. Individual results and health outcomes cannot be predicted, and participation does not guarantee prevention of cardiovascular disease or treatment effectiveness.
